Who is PongDesk for?
Players looking for a place to play, and clubs who want to be found. PongDesk is highly optimized for local and community clubs - including those without a permanent facility that rent gym spaces or community centers - schools, and community organizations who want free exposure and a friction-free way to run events. Larger and USATT-affiliated clubs are welcome too, and are listed right alongside everyone else. Want to list your club? See List your club.
Does my club get its own public page?
Yes! Every active club gets a dedicated public profile page (e.g., /[club-slug]) that displays your playing venues, weekly schedule slots, custom news updates, and active/upcoming tournaments.
Will this service stay free?
Yes, all core tournament management features will always remain free. In the future, we may introduce advanced optional features that carry a fee (such as a full table tennis club management portal), but running tournaments will always be free.
Do all players need to register a PongDesk account to join a tournament?
No. While player registration is recommended for tracking their registration history, it is not required. Club managers can manually create and register “managed players” or bulk import rosters via CSV, allowing you to run the entire event without players needing to sign up.
Do you store any payment information on the site?
No. All payments are handled directly with secure third-party processors (such as PayPal). PongDesk never stores or processes card details on our servers, and this integration will expand to support more third parties in the future.
What tournament formats does PongDesk support?
PongDesk supports three primary formats: Event-Based (typically Round-Robin group stages advancing into Single Elimination brackets), Giant Round-Robin (Stage 1 groups followed by Stage 2 placement round-robins by division), and Team events (clubs or rosters face off in ties decided by a series of singles and doubles sub-matches). We are continuously expanding our platform, with more formats on the way.
